Jennifer Foley

Graduate Student

Jennifer Foley is a PhD candidate specializing in Mesoamerican Archaeology. Her dissertation research is focused on the ancient Maya site of La Sufricaya, which is part of the Holmul region located in Petén, Guatemala. Jennifer has a B.A. in Archaeology from Boston University and has conducted field research in Belize and England. Her research interests include the construction and performance of identity and cross-cultural interaction.

$10,000 field research award from the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies, Inc. (FAMSI)

$4,000 dissertation writing award from the Vanderbilt University Center for Ethics

$24,250 dissertation writing stipend as a Robert Penn Warren Center for Humanities Graduate Student Fellow
