Claire Chen

Ph.D. Student

Claire graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in economics and history as well as a minor in mathematics. She is passionate about economic history; as an undergraduate, she wrote for the Vanderbilt Business Review and served as Director of Submissions for the Vanderbilt Historical Review, while her undergraduate honors thesis combined these interests by examining the changes in the occupational assimilation of Asian Americans over the 19th and 20th centuries. She is excited to begin her graduate studies at Vanderbilt and looks forward to continuing her visits to the stray cats of Nashville.
