Ryan Grawe ’20 recognized as Fulbright Scholar
Ryan Grawe, who graduated in 2020 with a B.A. in economics and political science, has been named a Fulbright Scholar. Each year the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces the top-producing institutions for the Fulbright program, the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program. Fulbright recipients typically spend an academic year in their host countries, exploring the unique opportunities the award presents and engaging with the local community. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of this year’s scholars are scheduled to depart in the summer or fall of 2021.
Sixteen Vanderbilt students in total were awarded Fulbrights this year. Ryan will be participating in an English teaching assistantship in Brazil. Congratulations, Ryan!
