Ph.D. students win departmental awards
The graduate awards for 2021 were announced in a Zoom reception on May 12.
The Rendigs Fels Award for Best Teaching Assistant (monetary prize and plaque) was won by Cameron Friday and Lillian Gaeto.
The Household International Best Research Paper Award (monetary award and plaque) went to Luis Carvajal-Osorio.
The Walter Noel Dissertation Fellowship Award (financial support for one semester and plaque) was won by Hanjo (Terry) Kim.
The Kirk Dornbush Dissertation Fellowship Award (financial support for one semester and plaque) went to Thu Ngoc Tran.
The Kirk Dornbush summer research grants (financial support) went to Patrick Flynn, Matthew Knowles, Yukan Ma, and Martin Schmitz.
