Kamal Saggi to lead new administrative team announced for Vandy Econ
We are delighted to announce that Kamal Saggi, Frances and John Downing Family Chair and Professor of Economics and Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, will be the next department chair for Economics. Assisting him will be Mattias Polborn (E. Bronson Ingram Chair and Professor of Economics) as vice chair, Brian Beach (Associate Professor of Economics) as director of graduate studies, and continuing in their current roles, Rupi Saggi (principal senior lecturer) as director of undergraduate studies and Kevin Huang (Andrew and Jennifer Hoine Chair in Economics) as director of the Graduate Program in Economic Development. These appointments will take effect in mid-August. Everyone in the department looks forward to working with this new team.
