Michelle Marcus and Katie Yewell’s paper on free school meals published
Michelle Marcus and Katherine Yewell (PhD ’20, and now assistant professor the University of Louisville) have published their paper “The Effect of Free School Meals on Household Food Purchases: Evidence from the Community Eligibility Provision” in the Journal of Health Economics. They find that access to universal free school meals through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) had a meaningful impact on grocery spending, dietary composition, and food security for affected households
