Colin Sharpe (PhD ’23) selected as a finalist for the Economic History Association’s Gerschenkron Prize
Colin Sharpe, PhD 2023, was selected to be a finalist for the Economic History Association’s Gerschenkron Prize for the best dissertation on a non-North American topic. His dissertation studied “Legal Institutions and Growth in Medieval and Early Modern Europe.” He presented the work in a plenary session at the Economic History Association meetings in September 2024. Ariell Zimran advised the thesis, and Brian Beach, Bill Caferro (History), and Bill Collins also served on the committee.
