Phil graduated from Princeton University with a BA in economics and minors in Finance and Political Economy. He completed independent work in Foreign Direct Investment's Impact on Colombian political elections and corruption's impact on entrepreneurship in the presence of regulation. For the last 4 years he has been doing research on headline metrics and adjusting them to better reflect the economic situation of Low and Moderate Income Americans. At Vanderbilt he hopes to pursue his interests in applied microeconomics economic theory to problems of household finance; particularly those related to LMI income and time optimization.
