Senior Lecturer in Economics
Dr. Olani's research is in the areas of Open Economy Macroeconomics, Development Economics and Applied Econometrics. He uses theoretical and empirical analyses to understand the effects of categories international capital flows, capital controls, technology transfer, and their associations with the business cycles. He is interested in exploring policies that can reduce international crisis transmission, while also enhancing risk sharing and increasing capital accumulation in lower-income countries. His current research analyzes the welfare benefits of ensuring international investors against political and institutional risks they face.
