Ph.D. candidate Hoang earns Best Paper in Applied Economics award
Ph.D. candidate Trang Hoang’s job market paper, “The Dynamics of Global Sourcing,” has been selected for the Best Paper Award in Applied Economics at the Econometric Society Winter School 2020. A panel of 20 experts from different fields selected 162 papers for the presentation out of 254 papers submitted. In the second round, only 25 papers were nominated for the awards, which were separated into four groups – Micro, Macro, Development and Applied Economics. One paper from each group was selected for the best papers. The best paper awardee received a cash prize of USD 750 and a certificate. The juries of the final round were Pol Antràs (Harvard University); Pascaline Dupas (Stanford University); Vijay Krishna(Penn State University); and Martin Uribe (Columbia University).
