Applications Now Open for VCL Scholars Spring 2025
The VCL Scholars serve as an integral part of the Vanderbilt Center for Languages’ mission of fostering interdisciplinary work and support the teaching and learning of languages at Vanderbilt University. Applicants may propose a program of research either for publication, conference presentation, or to create a new academic initiative (or expand one that so far has been limited to one person, course, or program).
Some sample project topics might include:
- Innovations inspired by the new A & S Core Curriculum
- Culture and Language Across the Curriculum (CLAC)
- Studies in Visual Culture
- Food Studies
- Global Studies Certificate
- Intercultural competency development for non-language and language students
All proposals are due January 10th.
