Sebastian Banaszak
Graduate Student
Before joining Vanderbilt, Sebastian conducted undergraduate research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work focused on searching for periodicity in the light curves of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), a potential indicator of a supermassive black hole binary system orbiting within a gas disk. At Vanderbilt, Sebastian is interested in building a production-level multi-messenger analysis pipeline, fusing data from PTAs (GWs) and AGN time-domain surveys (EM) to better characterize these systems.
