Hooded Fang

ESP is a track off of Hooded Fang’s second album Tosta Mista which arrived in late July 2011. Often described as a ‘fuzzy indie pop ensemble’ their sound has migrated toward an amalgam of keen melodies, scrappy, surf-influenced guitar work, ‘verbed out vocals and fully danceable 60’s drum breaks, conjuring up images of sweaty patio parties and hot summer nights.” Using key imagistic moments like “your legs are like stems of flowers” coupled with familiar sentiments and dance-y beats, Hooded Fang defamiliarizes the pop song while keeping it highly listenable.
