For Educators

As a designated National Resource Center, CLACX seeks to expand knowledge of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latinx Studies in K16 settings by providing educators with strategies and tools for classroom incorporation. The Center offers professional development workshops and educational events, as well as online curriculum, physical materials, and guest speakers upon request, and co-coordinates the Américas Award for Children’s and Young Adult Literature with Tulane University to recognize and promote diversity in children’s literature. Since 2017, more than 175,000 teachers in nearly 55,000 schools across all US states have engaged with CLACX content.
