Emerging Filmmaker Fellowship Opportunity – The Sauce
WHAT IT IS:
The Sauce is an emerging filmmaker fellowship designed to support Asian American filmmakers in the South, through stipends, mentorship, workshops and production support for short documentary content, in partnership with NOVAC, CAAM and public television partners in the American South.
The fellowship is a year-long program for filmmakers between the ages of 18-24. There will be meeting commitments for twice a month, and completion of the fellowship will include completion of a 5-10 minute nonfiction film project that will be presented to PBS and PBS affiliates for digital or traditional broadcast. Fellows will also be provided with a stipend for their participation.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
We are currently looking to find young filmmakers who might have an interest in creating a short documentary on the subject of their choosing. They will be guided through the fellowship once selected through the application process.
More information about The Sauce Collective and a link to the application are available at http://novacvideo.org/thesauce-blog/ We are currently open for applications.
