Megan Skaggs

Megan is available to visit classrooms in the Nashville, TN area to share her experience working in education and social enterprise in Latin America. She is also able to Skype or Zoom video call into a classroom outside of the Nashville area. Her content is well suited for upper middle school and high school classes.

About Megan:
Megan Skaggs is currently pursuing her M.A. in Latin American Studies and her M.Ed. in International Educational Policy and Management at Vanderbilt University. Originally from a small town in Kentucky, Megan moved to Guatemala for a year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and returned to Guatemala last summer to learn K’iche’ Maya. Megan has developed a particular interest in how businesses can balance creating a sustainable social impact with a success business model, and the role that education has as a means to alleviate the poverty pervasive in many areas of Latin America.

Megan’s 2020 Availability:
Tuesday: 9 AM – 12 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM – 12 PM
Thursday: 9 AM – 12 PM
Friday: 9 AM – 12 PM

Megan is available to visit classrooms (in person or via video call) from now until the end of April, 2020.
