Brazil Week September 8-11, 2020
With a deep history and strength in Brazilian Studies, CLAS has hosted an annual “Brazil Week” for the Vanderbilt community and beyond for more than a decade. While Brazil Week 2020 will look a little different this year (we’ll be virtual!), we are thrilled to present leading Brazilianists from Vanderbilt University, Tuskegee University, and the University of São Paulo.

“Make Brazilian Desserts” Cooking Class Ingredient List
Join Vanderbilt University Professor of Portuguese Dr. Ben Legg for a fun evening in the kitchen making desserts and learning about Brazil! Dr. Legg will demonstrate how to make traditional Brazilian sweets called brigadeiros and beijinhos. Follow Dr. Legg’s simple culinary steps in your own kitchen, or just enjoy watching the program!
- Sweetened condensed milk (1 can per batch of 20)
- Butter (4 tbls)
- Cocoa (4 tbls)
- Grated coconut (1 cup for a batch)
- Chocolate sprinkles and whole cloves for garnish
- Little paper cups (mini-muffin papers or tiny cupcake liners)
