Overview
The Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies at Vanderbilt combines our long-standing strengths in Brazil, Central America, the Caribbean, the Andes, Mexico, and Colombia with a focus on the US South to examine the borders and intersections between these regions. Learn more about these areas of focus here.
We have over 100 faculty associated with the Center, and work closely with K-16 educators, cultural arts organizations, and regional institutions at local, national, and international levels. As a comprehensive NRC since 2006, the Center uses federal funding to educate undergraduate and graduate students, K-16 educators, the business community, and the general public about Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latinx communities.
