Latin American and Caribbean Images Photo Competition 2024
LAIPC Rules:
- All current students, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars at Vanderbilt University are eligible to participate.
- ONE entry per participant
- Photographs must be:
- the original work of the participant
- taken in Latin America or the Caribbean
- submitted electronically via Google submission form
- Each electronic entry must include:
- Title of work
- Complete name of photographer
- Vanderbilt e-mail address of photographer
- Deadline: The final date for submitting photos is Friday, December 6 at 3:00 p.m.
- By signing the entry form and submitting it, entrants are agreeing to grant Vanderbilt University, Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) use of the photographs in displays related to the contest and in other printed and electronic publications. Efforts will be made to credit the entrant where possible.
- Judges will choose 10 photographs to be exhibited at Bryan Building Lobby during January 13-24, 2024; all photographs will be participating for top three prizes
- Entries will be judged on artistic expression, creativity, originality, and the quality of the image. The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries which do not conform to the stated contest rules and criteria.
- Award winners will be announced at a reception to take place on Thursday, January 23 at 4:30 pm in Bryan Building, where the photos will be displayed. Photographs may be displayed in additional locations at future events.
- Prizes: First place $300, Second place $150, and Third place $50
