Katie Beekman

Katie studies work, culture, and “authenticity.” She is specifically interested in how race and gender-based occupational segregation persists in the contemporary country music industry. Katie received an MPhil in Sociology from the University of Cambridge in 2022 and a BA in Sociology and American Culture from the University of Michigan in 2021.
