Yvonne Chen
Graduate Student
Yvonne Chen graduated with a BS in Psychology (summa cum laude) in 2013 and a MA in Sociology in 2016 from the University of Houston. Her research interests include medical sociology, mental health, race/ethnicity, and social networks. Yvonne’s current work focuses on the racial/ethnic disparities in health and access to care. Specifically, she examines how the racialization of Asians in the United States shape their psychological well-being and mental health care utilization. Moreover, she examines how Asian Americans navigate care and well-being from a social networks perspective.
