Whitney Frierson

Graduate Student

Whitney Frierson graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2016 with a B.A. in Sociology and African and African American Studies.  In 2019, she received her M.A. in Sociology from the University of Arkansas. Her research interests include culture, sexuality, and race and gender.  In her master’s thesis, she examined how the experiences of being in college shape black college sorority women’s views on skin tone bias in hip-hop culture.
