Two Sociology majors included in the 2024 Top Ten Outstanding Seniors

Congratulations to Sociology majors, Samuel Ellis and Solmin Kim, two of the 2024 Top Ten Outstanding Seniors!

 Samuel Ellis

Sam is a fourth-year Honors Scholar majoring in Sociology. He is actively involved in organizations such as Experience Vanderbilt, the Kappa Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the Honor Council, and more. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in project management within the Client Experience department at BlackRock’s Atlanta office.

 

Solmin Kim

Solmin is a double major in Sociology and Child Studies. She was a VUceptor for three years and served as VUcept’s 2023-24 President. She is a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sociology, a member of the Sociology Honors Program, interned at the Office of Mayor John Cooper in 2023, and is a 2024 Public Policy Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. After graduation, she hopes to work in the non-profit sector, higher education, or government.
