Vanderbilt sociology professor Lijun Song has been elected Chair-elect of the Sociology of Mental Health section of the American Sociological Association. An award-winning sociologist, Professor Song’s research addresses social networks, medical sociology and mental health, social stratification (gender/sexuality, race/ethnicity, and class), social psychology, and comparative historical sociology. She is currently developing social cost theory to understand the harmful consequences of social networks. Congratulations, Professor Song!
