Peter Bils
Assistant Professor
Peter Bils is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Economics. His research studies political institutions, in particular, how to design them in order to improve policymaking. Substantively, his work focuses on bureaucratic politics and lobbying in the United States. In other research, he analyzes game-theoretic models of bargaining in international conflict.
Before joining the faculty at Vanderbilt, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Rochester in 2018.
