Professor Emeritus Horace Williams Dies

January 7, 2019 – Horace Edward Williams, an emeritus professor of mathematics who taught mathematics and statistics at Vanderbilt for 40 years, died Dec. 31, 2018. He was 87. In addition to his teaching, Williams conducted research on improving the quality of math education at all levels from elementary school through college.
