THE REAM FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP was established in 2008 by The REAM Foundation of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, to provide need-based scholarship support to a student in the College of Arts and Science. First preference is given to a Jewish studies major, with second preference to a student from the Chicago area.

THE MIRIAM HALACHMI PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE IN MODERN HEBREW was established in 2015 in memory of educator and leader, Miriam Halachmi. A $50.00 cash prize is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated excellence in Hebrew language studies at Vanderbilt University.

THE BEST UNDERGRADUATE PAPER IN JEWISH STUDIES competition is open to enrolled students in all schools. Papers on any topic in Jewish Religion, History, or Culture are eligible for the contest. The winning author will receive a $50 prize and recognition on the Jewish Studies website and the departmental plaque.

Submissions must include the paper AND an entry form sent to
