Employee Affinity Groups

Employee Affinity Groups(EAGs) are employee-led and facilitated groups formed around interests, backgrounds, identities, and common bonds. Through participation in EAGs, Vanderbilt staff and faculty help foster a positive work environment at the university by actively contributing to its mission, values, and efforts specific to diversity, inclusion, and campus engagement. 

Recreation and Wellness Center

Vanderbilt’s on-campus recreation and wellness center is accessible for VU employees with a monthly membership. Use their fitness spaces, take a group fitness class, climb the rock wall, and more! Visit their website for information about membership pricing and how to purchase a membership. 

Identity Centers at Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt has numerous identity centers across campus that build community and promote connections and inclusivity.

  • LGBTQI Life

LGBTQI Life, located in the K.C. Potter Center, is a cultural center and a place of affirmation for individuals of all identities, and a resource for information and support about gender and sexuality. Visit their website for information about events, affinity groups, and how to get involved. 

  • Black Cultural Center

TheBishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center has served as the epicenter of the Black experience at Vanderbilt since 1984. The BCC continues to offer innovative programming, resources, and opportunities for fellowship.&nbsp

  • Cuninggim Women’s Center

The Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center is an affirming space for women and for all members of the Vanderbilt community that actively resists sexism and all forms of oppression by providing resources and educational programming.   • Asian American Pacific Islander Affinity Group

TheAAPI Employee Affinity Group is a dedicated space for faculty, staff, and postdocs at Vanderbilt who identify as Asian and Pacific Islander descent to gather to address and share issues and concerns that impact the group. 

  • Center for Spiritual and Religious Life

The Center for Spiritual and Religious Life supports the spiritual and religious growth of all Vanderbilt community members while encouraging the ongoing development of interfaith literacy and dialogue.
