Chiedozie Michael Uhuegbu

Michael received his B.A in French and German Languages (2010), M.A in German Literature (2015) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a thesis on the literary-political commitment in Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage and her children. Following graduation, he worked as a German language lecturer at the University of Benin in Nigeria from July, 2011 to August, 2016 where he taught Basic German language courses. In August, 2014, he attended the Interdisciplinary Discourse Analysis Summer School at the University of Bremen, Germany. The following year, he attended in another Summer School at the German Literature Archives titled “World Literature, Global Archives”, which was followed by a Research stay at the German Literature Archives, Marbach am Neckar, Germany. Chiedozie Michael joined the German Graduate program at Vanderbilt University in 2016. His interests include 20th Century German Literature with emphasis on War and Migration literature, aesthetic theory and Literary Criticism. He is also a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Alumna.
