Lorrie Moore’s Novel ‘I Am Homeless if This Is Not My Home’ Named Winner of National Book Critics Circle Award
Lorrie Moore’s novel, I Am Homeless if This Is Not my Home, has been announced as the winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction. The novel was also named a “Best Book of 2023” by The New Yorker, as part of a list “of the most captivating, notable, brilliant, thought-provoking, and talked-about books” of 2023. The New Yorker described the novel as “A work of determined strangeness and pain, Moore’s new novel is an almost violent kind of achievement, slicing open the conventional notions of narrative itself.”
