Noelle Candler
Noelle Candler is a first-year Ph.D. student in English at Vanderbilt University. Her prospective research is a transnational feminist comparative project that seeks to imagine alternatives to colonial structures. Drawing on queer theory, post-colonial theory, and oceanic metaphor, she analyzes 20th- and 21st-century literature of the Americas as a site of political possibility. Noelle received her B.S. in English and Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
