Noa Shevchuk
Noa Shevchuk is a first-year Ph.D. student in English at Vanderbilt University. Her research interests center on the intersections among literature, science, and philosophy, with an emphasis on female writers from the British Romantic era. Her most recent work, Mary Shelley and the Vitality Debate, examines the consequences of the ongoing mind-body debate in the face of divine and unnatural creation. Noa received her B.S. in Biology-English with a minor in Classics from Union College in Schenectady, NY; she won the Mrs. Edwin L. Rich prize as a student “majoring in English with outstanding scholarship” in May of 2024.
