Conference Funding
The A&S Office of Undergraduate Education provides financial support to College of Arts and Science undergraduate students who present their research at academic conferences to defray the costs of registration fees and travel expenses. The award maximum is $400 per student, and a student may only receive the award once in their undergraduate career.
To apply, email the following to the Office of Undergraduate Education:
- Conference details (conference name, location, and dates)
- Letter of support from a research mentor
The Senior Associate Dean reviews the applications and students are notified of the decision via email. Approved funds are disbursed directly into the student’s account (note that it may take several weeks for this to happen). Once disbursed, the award can be viewed on the YES billing portal via the link to view recent activity. If a student has an outstanding balance, the Office of Student Accounts will deduct money to satisfy the balance first. For questions regarding disbursement, please contact to the Office of Student Accounts.
