Daniel P. Solomon

Principal Senior Lecturer of Classical and Mediterranean Studies

Daniel Solomon teaches courses in Latin language at all levels, as well as an advanced Writing Seminar on Augustan Rome.  His primary research interest concerns the philosophical poetry of Lucretius. He coordinates the Departmental Latin language sequence, and he serves on the Board for the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association.  He earned the Harriet S. Gilliam teaching award in 2001 and the Alumni Outstanding Freshman Adviser Award in 2009.
