Wenkuo Ma
Wenkuo Ma is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History at Vanderbilt University, advised by Professor Ruth Rogaski. He studies the history of modern China, with research interests in the intersections of technology, environment, and sociocultural change. His dissertation explores the history of tractors in twentieth-century China, examining how agricultural mechanization shaped rural life, ecological landscapes, and state-society relations.
Ma received his B.A. in History from East China Normal University and his M.Phil. in History from Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
