Eva Baylin

Eva Baylin is a fourth-year PhD candidate focusing on modern United States political, cultural, and gender history. Her dissertation project, Gender and the Radical Right: A Cultural History from the Margins to the Center of American Politics, 1965 to 2014, explores right-wing constructions of masculinities and femininities and identifies the performance of and the obsession with patriarchal gender hierarchy as a key link between the far-right, the political right, and conservative ideology. Her advisor is Nicole Hemmer.

Eva is also a 2026-27 Editorial Board Fellow for the digital humanities project Sharing Stories from 1977: Putting the National Women’s Conference on the Map.
