Vanderbilt MFA students featured in Cheekwood Exhibit
MFA faculty, students, and alumni are currently featured in the exhibition Verse & Visions at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. Visit Cheekwood and read the ekphrastic poems of Sydney Mayes, Carson Colenbaugh (MFA ’25), Ajla Dizdarevic, and Assistant Professor Didi Jackson.
Verse and Vision, a graphic arts exhibition of works on paper from Cheekwood’s permanent collection, will be displayed alongside poems written in response to the twelve works of art. The exhibition forms a thoughtful connection between two distinct art forms in celebration of the creative spirit, further connecting the viewer to the artwork.
The exhibition runs through October 5th.
