Pugh-Hernandez Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1980 by Robert D. Pugh to provide financial support to undergraduate students participating in Maymester in Spain or Latin America. If there are no students participating in Maymester in Spain or Latin America, the fund may be awarded to any student studying abroad. This fund was created in honor of Mr. Pugh’s daughter, Virginia Pugh-Hernandez.
Katharine B. Woodward Award for Excellence in Spanish Studies
This undergraduate award was established in 1943 and was endowed in 1962 by Miss Katharine B. Woodward, Class of 1919, for excellence in Spanish studies. Awardees receive a monetary award and a certificate. A faculty committee is convened to consider the work of the nominees and select the award-winner.
