Research Overview

Dive Deep. The National Research Council ranks our faculty in the top 11% in research productivity across the nation. We have received several national and international awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Humanities Grant, and a Premis Ramon Lull. Our faculty have published numerous single-authored works in many areas of our field; and prestigious national and international presses such as Yale University Press and the Colegio de México publish our works. Some of our faculty’s areas of expertise include Migration Studies, Transatlantic Studies, Latino Studies, Race in Afro-Spanish American and Brazilian Literature, Indigenous Studies, the Anthropocene, Queer Studies, and the Medical Humanities.
