Jose Aznar
Senior Lecturer
José Luis Aznar has been teaching at Vanderbilt since 2007 as a Senior Lecturer in the Spanish & Portuguese Department. In addition to his regular classes, he serves as faculty Vuceptor for the Visions program, directs & teaches the Maymester program in Alicante, Spain, and directs & coordinates a study abroad program in Spain during the summer months. His research and interests encompass the impact of Spanish transition to democracy, and late 20th century social economic movements in Spain. Based on some of the courses he has taught here at Vanderbilt, Aznar ‘s current interests have been geared towards the social impact of illegal immigration in Spain as well as in the U.S.
