Sahai Couso Díaz

Sahai Couso Díaz (Havana, Cuba) is a Phd student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. She completed her Licenciatura in Letras (2013). After graduating summa cum laude from Havana University (Cuba), she became a teacher at her alma mater (2013 to 2017). During this time she also worked as an editor. Her main research interests focus on Latin American contemporary narratives.

Interests: 20th-century and 21st-century Latin American literature and culture, Caribbean literature, space, memory, cartography, travel narratives, urbanism. Other interest: Latin American culture and intellectual history, Latin American and Caribbean thought, Globalization, Transatlantic literature, Literary theory, Nationalism, and Posnacionalism.
