Pintané holds a PH.D in Spanish Literature from Vanderbilt University. She also completed a Master´s Degree in Business Management from Escuela de Negocios Caixanova (Spain) and Marketing Studies from Instituto de Empresa (Spain).
Pintané has broad work experience both at universities and within the business community. Before teaching at Vanderbilt University, she taught at the University of Rhode Island from 2000 to 2003. Her work as a Marketing Manager has provided Pintané international experience in 14 different countries.
Among her publications, Mosaico, a book of poems by Emilio Prados published by Editorial Calambur (Spain), stands out. Pintané co-edited the volume together with Christopher Maurer and Anne M. Connor. She also has published on Federico García Lorca. At present, she is working on the figure of the mother in Spanish theater and film.
At Vanderbilt University, Pintané has taught courses on XVIII and XIX century Spanish literature, Introduction to Spanish theatre, Introduction to Spanish and Latin-American Literature, and Advanced conversation.
