Martha Jones
Associate Professor of Medicine, Health, and Society
As an economist, Dr. Jones has been employed in a research capacity at a number of organizations including the the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the State of California. She has written numerous reports for the State of California on topics such as workers compensation, illness and injury incidence rates, employment in the movie production industry, tax policies, California demographics, and Census 2000 mail response rates. Before coming to Vanderbilt, she taught courses in economics and statistics at various schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Francisco State University, Mills College, and St. Mary’s College, as well as in Geneva Switzerland (International University) and Lausanne Switzerland (Business School Lausanne).
