Zachary Clary

Zachary Clary is a first year PhD student in modern American history with a particular focus on intellectual history, political history, and the Black Freedom Struggle. He studies the intersection of ideology and historical memory within the racial politics of the twentieth century. His advisors are Jefferson Cowie and Sarah Igo.

His work appears in The Washington Post-Made by History, The Chicago Tribune, and Smithsonian Magazine, among others.
