I currently hold the position of Director of the Small Molecule NMR Facility here at Vanderbilt University. My graduate and post-doctoral training are in the areas of solid-state NMR and micro-imaging.  At Vanderbilt University, I have focused my research efforts on the application of solution state NMR to various problems in biological chemistry.  Areas of interest include the use of solution state NMR to identify structures of novel compounds such as natural products and metabolites also the application of NMR based metabolomics to various disease states such as diabetes and hypertension.
