Taylor Harman
Taylor Harman earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Syracuse University, and currently holds a Postdoctoral Research position in the Anthropological Health and Data Science Lab in the Department of Anthropology at Vanderbilt University. She has broad, interdisciplinary interests related to human biology, which have been informed by her B.S. in Molecular Biology and M.S. in Exercise Physiology. Her doctoral dissertation centered on a comparison of the adaptations of two populations native to high altitude regions, Andeans and Tibetans. This work incorporated a wide variety of physiological measures during rest and exercise, as well as an ethnographic component. She aims to expand her future research agenda to include a more explicit focus on human health, in conjunction with her interests in human evolution.
