A new conference, Groups in Geometry, Algebra, and Logic, was held at Vanderbilt University during May 28 to June 1, 2025.  The conference was organized by Professors Denis Osin, Spencer Dowdall, and Dan Margalit, along with Carolyn Abbott (Brandeis), Filippo Calderoni (Rutgers), and Adrian Ioana (UCSD).

The conference featured five mini-courses by Katrin Tent (Münster), Isaac Goldbring (UCI), Thomas Koberda (Virginia), Simon Thomas (Rutgers), and Andrew Marks (Berkeley).  There were also 8 research talks, two sessions of lightning talks, and a professional development session.  There were also problem sessions and workshopping groups.  Participants came from around the country, as well as Germany, Spain, and France, to name a few.  In total the conference hosted approximately 45 participants.

Some of the topics discussed at the conference included: first order logic in topology, treeability of groups, the Burnside problem, and random groups. The conference was partially supported by the National Science Foundation.
