Congrats to the Spring 2022 Houston Symposium Winners!

The Department of Communication Studies hosted its biannual Houston Symposium on Wednesday, April 27. Senior Andres Hernandez took first place with his critique of the attention economy. Senior Blair McDonald placed second for her speech on prison recidivism in Tennessee. And sophomore Payton Frankiewicz placed third for her presentation about sexual assault reporting on campus. Ashley Meeky’s project on intersectional feminism was voted the audience favorite.
