Archaeoastronomy Workshop Resources - 2009
Archaeoastronomy is the study of how people have understood the mysteries of the sky and how they incorporated these mysteries into their cultures. This lens of study provides a unique context in which to examine ancient American civilizations such as the Inca, Aztecs, and Maya. Through a variety of practices including including archaeology, anthropology, astronomy, statistics and probability, and history, archeoastronomy illuminates how the past interconnects with the present.
