Comparing Brazil and the US through Orixás and Superheroes
Using the accessible concept of superheroes, students will compare and contrast texts in different forms and genres (e.g. stories, and poems; historical novels and fantasy stories) in terms of their approaches to similar themes and topics. Students will explore the role of U.s. superheroes and Brazilian orixás.
